Hamburg, September 2011. People who use an iPod, iPhone or iPad to listen to and organize their personal music library will also demand attractive style in the home. With the DK-KP80PH, Sharp is presenting a compact and elegant all-in-one hi-fi system that will appeal both to design-lovers and technology freaks. The built-in CD drive is concealed under a silver sliding door that discreetly opens and closes when changing CD. All other parts of the enclosure are in tasteful black. Whilst the iPhone and iPod are simply connected via the top dock, the iPad fits securely in the supplied iPad stand. The connection here is by USB cable. As a handy extra feature, the batteries are automatically recharged as soon as these devices are connected. Other MP3 players can also be connected without any problem using the USB or Audio input. To keep current consumption to a minimum, the hi-fi system switches off automatically after 15 minutes without audio signal.
At the same time, the DK-KP80PH is not only visually the ideal partner for iPhone, iPod and iPad. The broadband speakers of this compact audio system deliver a well-balanced sound with a total power of 50 watts. In addition, the built-in FM/AM tuner has 40 programmable presets. A remote control is included as standard.
The Sharp DK-KP80PH will be available in the shops from October at a manufacturer’s recommended price of 199.00 euros.
